Experience.

MATTERS.

For over 30 years, I have worked exclusively with non-profit organizations. Each one has been cause-driven. Their concerns range from the environment, social justice and health to indigenous issues and more. I have studied the operations of hundreds of non-profits, advised small & medium sized organizations, created fundraising plans, as well as assisted with HR and the vital issue of governance. Right now, I coach participants in the Thriving NonProfits (TNP) Program, convene VECTTR, a group of non-profit leaders and I am Executive Director of WITS Programs Foundation, a charity working with schools across Canada and in other parts of the world to empower children and youth to handle bullying and practice kindness and inclusion.

Why me?

BUILD CONFIDENCE AND INCREASE YOUR IMPACT

Become financially sustainable. Create a functional plan. Solve the serious concerns facing you and your nonprofit and/or charity.

Your challenges have solutions. I’ve been there, and I’ve helped dozens of nonprofit organizations in multiple sectors become financially self-sustaining and improve delivery on their mission.

My approach is open, respectful and cooperative. I support equity-deserving groups with free advice, donations to several causes, most notably Oxfam, and advancing equity and inclusion in my work.

Let’s start a conversation, whether it’s simply becoming acquainted, free advice, or otherwise.

Services.

FIND YOUR FIT.

If you’re looking for help in any of these areas, let’s set up a phone or video call.

Fundraising & Revenue Diversification Plan. After examining operations, financials and organizational culture, I develop customized guides for nonprofits to diversify and increase their income.

Executive Coaching. I regularly provide other Executive Directors with advice and guidance, helping them make the most of their resources and solve tough issues (completely confidential).

Social Enterprise and Fee-for-Service. If you’re considering adding or increasing service fees, or expanding into social enterprise, but need help, a quick chat may be all that’s needed.

Strategic planning. My model of building a strategic plan equitably engages participants and keeps consultant costs low. It won’t sit on the shelf – this is a plan that you can regularly work with.

Governance & Board development. Create the best possible board, effective and committed, by ensuring board members sign onto a set of principles that serve the society first. Sounds simple, but it takes work. “The best Board members follow the mission, follow good advice, and are prepared & chip in.” -Andy

Non Profit Rescue (NPR). The concept of NPR is to revitalize failing non profits that are important to their communities. With a team of experts in various disciplines, NPR works together with local people and agencies to bring lasting change to struggling but important impact organizations.
